Rick Galvan is the current San Antonio City Council Member representing District 6 and one of the youngest ever elected to the council at age 24. A lifelong resident of the district, Galvan’s career in public service began through leadership in his neighborhood association and as a policy staffer for Council Member Teri Castillo. Known for his grassroots approach, he successfully ran a city council campaign without corporate or real estate PAC funding, emphasizing transparency, public safety, and community investment. Galvan is a graduate of UT Austin, where his educational and advocacy experiences shaped his commitment to public policy and local government.
