Michael Reyes serves as President and CEO of Opportunity Home, San Antonio’s public housing authority, where he leads a team of 600 in providing housing assistance to nearly 50,000 residents. Reyes’s career spans two decades in Washington, D.C., including work in international affairs and at the United Nations, where he gained expertise in public-private partnerships and global housing solutions. A San Antonio native who grew up at Alizan Apache Courts, Reyes brings both lived experience and a global perspective to addressing the city’s affordable housing crisis. He is driving Opportunity Home’s Centennial Vision, a transformative plan to renovate all 6,000 public housing units while preserving affordability and public ownership.
